Gemma studied photography at the University of Westminster, graduating in 1998. She began working as a freelance photographer soon after in theatre, film, and advertising.
Theatre clients have included the Open Air Theatre, Regents Park, National Theatre and Young Vic education, The Opera Group, Ticketmaster, Clearchannel, First Family Entertainment, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, E15 Acting School, London School of Musical Theatre, Paul Holman Associates, Nuffield Theatre Southampton, New End Theatre and the Notes from New York series.
She has also worked as the stills photographer on commercials including Aviva, Thomson Holidays, Eurostar, Holsten Pils, John Smiths Bitter, Agent Provocateur, McCains, and 3 Mobile as well as various music videos and films including Tony, Streetdance and the Magic Roundabout.
Recent personal work includes a series of portraits on former Beauty Queens which was published in The Sunday Telegraph's Stella Magazine.
